Constitution

Preamble
Accepting the responsibility of citizenship, we, the students of Concordia College, do hereby establish the Concordia College Student Government Association an the following Constitution, which shall govern our organization. The power and the provisions of the Constitution have been derived from and are consistent with the Concordia College Corporation Charter.

Bylaws

The bylaws of a Student Government Association (SGA) serve as a fundamental set of rules and regulations that govern our organization's internal workings and decision-making processes. These bylaws establish the structure of the SGA, defining roles and responsibilities for positions such as president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. They outline the criteria for membership, including eligibility requirements and the rights and responsibilities of members. They address the process for electing and removing SGA officers, including nomination procedures and terms of office. Ultimately, these bylaws ensure that the SGA operates organized and accountable, serving the interests and needs of the student body while complying with any applicable campus or university regulations.

Resolutions

A resolution is a motion that has been voted on and passed by the Senate. A resolution can be a formal written statement or decision passed by our governing body to express a specific stance, intent, or course of action on a particular issue or matter of the Student Government Association. Resolutions are limited to the powers the Student Government Association has been granted by our Constitution, Bylaws, and international operations. Once a resolution has been passed it will be enforced by the stated parties to the resolution or by the Executive Office of the Student Government Association and must be respected by the Senate if not resolution to dissolved it has been passed.
