DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Day at the Capitol is Student Government's annual event in partnership with Minnesota Private Colleges, and it is free to all students! During the day, students have scheduled meetings with their elected state representatives at Minnesota's state capitol building. During those times, students will be asked to advocate on behalf of the Minnesota State Grant—something that many Cobbers benefit from. This year, Day at the Capitol took place on March 30, 2023.

Students will also have time to

share other concerns that they

may have such as government

spending, gun rights, climate

change, or the cost of

medication.

This is a bipartisan event, and

all are encouraged to attend

(even international students or

those not from Minnesota).

Moreover, no prior knowledge

about the Minnesota State

Grand is required, you will

have a training session on what the grant is about, and how to talk to your elected officials.
