What is SPIF?
Special Projects & Initiatives Fund
The Special Projects and Initiatives Fund (SPIF) is another source of funding for high-impact, college-wide programs, projects, or events that enhance the overall student experience at Concordia College. Projects supported by the SPIF should be of audacious vision and scope, either fostering a unique educational experience for the student body, having a long-term impact at the institutional level, and/or increasing the visibility of Concordia College within the wider community of institutions of higher learning. Projects also should be in keeping with the stated mission and policies of Concordia College and the ELCA.
You can view previous SPIF allocations at this link.
The SPIF consists of allocated but unspent Student Activity Fee money from previous years and is accessible only by an application process.
Applications must be submitted by a full-time student, and projects may be proposed on behalf of a student organization or group. For more information, contact the SGA Chief of Operations at sgacoper@cord.edu.

Important SPIF Procedures to Note
Requests over $4,000 will require an additional level of approval by the SGA Senate as a whole.
SPIF proposals that are funded must spend the $ within 6 months of approval. After that point in time, the SPIF committee can return unspent funding to the overall SPIF.
